Falling in love with Lisbon (again)


Two years ago I visited Lisbon and fell in love with the city. I'm not usually one to visit a place twice but it was the cheapest option to fly out of Portugal so I figured why not? And I'm so glad I did! The people I met and experiences I had were incredible ❤

The first day I did a walking tour of the city. Our guide showed us around and even let us stop for some delicious pastries.


After some lunch and a much needed nap (it was SO hot) a couple of girls from the hostel and I set out to watch the sunset. It was an exhausting climb but so worth it when we got to the top. We had an incredible view of the entire city and the sunset was absolutely  breathtaking!



Later that night everyone was hanging out at the hostel and spur of the moment a group of us decided to go out. We ended up going to a bar on the roof of a parking garage which sounds sketchy but let me tell you the view was ahhhmazing


The next day was a little more laid back..since I'm carrying a 10/kilo backpack I decided I deserved a massage 😎 Later in the day I took the train to Belén with the girls. The views were incredible and the pastries were even better 😜



I am forever thankful for my time in Lisbon, the Goodnight Hostel and the amazing people I met there. I came to Lisbon alone and left feeling like part of a little family ❤

Stunning South

For years I have heard about the stunning landscapes of New Zealand, and most people I have spoken to prefer the South Island. Flight Roulette

When I planned my trip for this summer I realized that there was a week between Kiera leaving me and Jen coming to meet me. I played a little thing called flight roulette..plugged the dates I needed into my favorite website (skyscanner)and picked the cheapest option for a country I had yet to visit. My result: Warsaw, Poland! My excitement quickly escalated when I realized that via train it was quite feasible to also check off Krakow and do a day trip to Auschwitz. Without any further hesitation I bought my flight and started making all the arrangements. With only about 24 solid hours in Warsaw I decided my best bet was to do a free walking tour (one of the best things about major cities in Europe!) Our tour guide took us around all the major sights and although it is a capital city it was walkable within two hours. Not quite as warm here as it was in Greece but amazing none the less! One week down

I have officially survived my first week of this crazy adventure! A week ago, I was landing in Edinburgh and had no idea what was awaiting me. I was definitely most nervous about this part of the trip because I was going to be travelling solo and have never been to Scotland before.. but I was in for an amazing surprise. This city totally captured my heart! I met some absolutely amazing people and made memories that will last a lifetime! When I first got off the bus in Edinburgh to be honest I was feeling defeated. I had to pay an arm and a leg for overweight bags, and I lost my phone on my layover.
