Dream of Californication

After almost two months of working like crazy I finally have set off on the next great adventure! I will be chasing  summer around the world via New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Singapore then London!

A few months ago I decided to start in California for a few days to break up the trip a bit. I absolutely love San Diego so i spent a few days cruising in a convertible, making friends with sea lions and paddle surfing! I absolutely love California because in one day you can hike a desert national park and later in the day be back by the sea..so cool!

This was the best start to my adventure around the world!

London; the last hoorah

For the most part, I really try travel as economically as possible, but once in a while I will allow myself a little splurge. Which is why, when I got an email from Norwegian Airlines asking if I wanted to bid for an upgrade to business class I said " what the heck! why not?" I kid you not, I made the absolute lowest bid the website would allow and I was absolutely thrilled when they accepted! Feeling somewhat like royalty, I walked up to the counter, showed my ticket and was admitted inside. In front of me I saw a delicious spread and feeling my stomach turn, I walked up to a worker. "Hi, where can I pay for the buffet?" She looked at me funny and told me that it was complementary. WHAT?! Let me remind you, I am a poor backpacker and t...

Eating my way through Brussels

So I flew into Brussels with the intention of only staying a few days then going to France to visit one of my friends. My trip to France didn't work out and in retrospect I am happy it didn't because I had SO much fun in Brussels! What was supposed to be a stopover turned into one of the highlights of my trip so far. 6 days full of delicious food, amazing people, pub crawls, ridiculous nights out and of course tons of dancing šŸ’ƒ Making our way through the magic food groups of Belgium; fries, waffles, beer, and chocolate  Riding around Brussels in style Heaven on Earth <3 I learned that even when you think things are going wrong sometimes they are actually falling into place.. It's best to live in the moment and take each day as it comes because although things won't always go your way but its a lot easier to enjoy the ride anyways
