Going Down Under

When I was a freshman in college i attended a presentation about study abroad. As i recall, two of the returning students had recently spent a semester in Australia. I knew then and there that this was something I HAD to do. For years I went home every weekend to work my crappy little restaurant job so that I could afford a semester down under. Fate had a grander plan and I ended up in Florence (not complaining at all) but I never gave up on my dream of the land of kangaroos and koalas. When i booked my Topdeck tour i knew this was it! I HAD to finally make my dream come true, and the best part is now a days I have so many people to visit which was an added bonus.

Even as I was walking onto the tarmac with the Virgin Australia plane in front of me it didn't feel real.

I boarded the plane and as we took off down the runway, I couldn't help but grin as I thought "I am going to Australia!" Normally I hate the window seat but this time I did not mind at all.. It was amazing to catch the first glimpse of the Opera House from the air! It made me so excited for the next 3 weeks!

Eating my way through Brussels

So I flew into Brussels with the intention of only staying a few days then going to France to visit one of my friends. My trip to France didn't work out and in retrospect I am happy it didn't because I had SO much fun in Brussels! What was supposed to be a stopover turned into one of the highlights of my trip so far. 6 days full of delicious food, amazing people, pub crawls, ridiculous nights out and of course tons of dancing 💃 Making our way through the magic food groups of Belgium; fries, waffles, beer, and chocolate  Riding around Brussels in style Heaven on Earth <3 I learned that even when you think things are going wrong sometimes they are actually falling into place.. It's best to live in the moment and take each day as it comes because although things won't always go your way but its a lot easier to enjoy the ride anyways
